South Austin Museum of Popular Culture

Austin Museum of Pop Culture aims to preserve and display art and objects that reflect the influence of Austin in the largest field of popular culture. First, a project of the Foundation Phogg SAMPC debuted as part of an exhibition posters throughout the city in the South by Southwest in 2004. These exhibitions have become the hallmark of the museum, and continue to produce up to eight rooms exhibitions and five events a year. In 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, working part-time staff of volunteers, including many artists still painting, drawing and beautification of the city – a true labor of love for everyone.

Now, a membership organization governed by a board of directors, their efforts outreach are divided between the addition and improvement of its assets and programs and the difficult but necessary task of raising funds to support a local non-profit museum profit.
